Water Heaters

The Water Heaters kit for winterization includes:

Solar Water Boilers: These are communal solar energy boilers designed to provide hot water using solar power. The suggested specification includes a Heat Pipe Vacuum Tube Pressurized Solar Water Heater with a capacity of more than 300 liters. This type typically consists of an Evacuated Tube Solar Water Heater, Compact Type, with Bracket made of Galvanized Steel or Aluminum Alloy, and an interior material made of Stainless Steel. Please note, communal solar water heaters require adequate water connections and space for installation, as well as a system for equitable access. Consideration should be given to household-level systems if more appropriate.
Electrical Water Heaters: These are wall-mounted electrical water heaters designed for household use. The suggested specification includes a white heater with a capacity of 80 liters, 1200 Watts, and 220 Volts. It should have insulation material with a thickness of 20 mm, a temperature gauge, thermostat, Enamel interior material, and Metal housing material. It's important to note that the electrical connection for the water heater may require 5.5 Amps; however, at the camp level, the connection at the tent level is typically only 4 Amps. Any options should be chosen in consultation with CCCM/Shelter actors to ensure compatibility with camp-level connections and requirements.
